My Little Spa Routine That’s Big on Smell Good Vibes

Okay so I’m a huge smell person. Like, catch me in the shampoo aisle just opening caps like a maniac because aroma therapy is my love language. My little spa routine might be simple, but it’s honestly my favorite part of the day and yes, it all starts in the shower.

First up: Matrix Food for Soft shampoo (green bottle). O. M. G. It smells exactly like oatmeal cookies and leaves my hair feeling like silk. If they ever discontinue this, I will be unwell.

Then for toothpaste (yes, even this is a vibe), I’m currently using Boka Coco Ginger. I hated it at first, not gonna lie. But it weirdly grew on me, and now I love it. That said, I’m open to new recs, so drop me your favs!

For skincare, I just switched to the Thayers Milky Cleanser, and honestly? Big improvement. My face used to get so dry, especially in weird spots, but the trick was using a washcloth to gently exfoliate. Game changer.

And last but definitely not least… the nostalgia kicker: 1990s Lip Smackers Vanilla Frosting in the tube. If you know, you know. I must’ve gone through 57 of those. While I sadly it’s been discontinued for years, my Milk_Shake leave-in conditioner smells exactly like it to me, and it’s my little throwback moment every time I use it.

I splurged on it because I’ve decided to embrace my grays. If I’m not spending money on hair dye anymore, why not indulge a little? Plus, my hair is so much softer now, and I can even go a few days without washing. Who even am I?

Smell good = feel good. That’s my spa math.
