Making Space for What Matters (and Getting Crafty With It)

Lately, I’ve been trying really hard to be more intentional with my time, my energy, and even the stuff we bring into our home. Instead of impulse-buying things just because they might work, I’ve been asking, Do we really need this? Will it grow with us?

Case in point: I really wanted a wardrobe for Alice’s clothes. I like keeping her things in the front room since that’s where we spend most of our day. But I couldn’t find one I liked that felt like a smart, long-term choice. Either the style didn’t feel right or it just wouldn’t work as she grows.

So I had a little lightbulb moment. Why not repurpose something we already had?

We had this unused shelf unit just sitting around, and I realized it could totally work with a few tweaks. That’s where my 3D printer came in. I designed and printed some simple but sturdy hooks, popped in a hanging rod, and just like that, we had ourselves a mini wardrobe.

Alice’s clothes are now easy to access, easy to see (because let’s be real, baby clothes are adorable), and we still have shelf space for other things too. Functional, cute, and best of all, budget-friendly.

It’s not Pinterest perfect, but it works for us and that’s what I care about most.
