Boy, I haven’t done a review post in a while, but these chips basically tackled me and demanded one. I grabbed the bag on a whim because, let’s be honest, I’m a total sucker for a good flavored chip. It’s like they’re trying to tell a whole story in one crunchy bite.
And these? Ohhh these chips are something else. I popped one in and at first I was like “Cheese?! Okay!” But then bam, pickle. Wait. Mustard? I swear each chip is a choose-your-own-adventure. You never quite know what’s coming, but somehow it works. I don’t even know what all is happening flavor-wise, but it’s giving sandwich vibes without the sandwich. Kinda like your lunch jumped into a chip and said “Surprise!”
They’re kettle cooked, which means that glorious loud crunch that says these are not for sneaking in bed while your kid naps.
I’ve never been to a fancy New York deli, but if this is what one tastes like, then maybe I’ve been missing out… or maybe Trader Joe’s just bottled the whole experience into a chip and saved me the trip. Either way, deliciously chaotic in all the right ways.
Verdict? Get ‘em. You’ll be confused. You’ll be delighted. You’ll go back for more.
